Throughout this experience, I found myself feeling the need to give back and to fulfill tithes and charities. I was not sure how I wanted to use my brand to help other people until my dear friend, Thomas, passed away. Growing up, despite distance, we never stopped talking finance and business. It was the biggest topic that bonded us together, whether it was arguing or agreeing. With that, I felt it was only right to honor him in deciding to donate 10% of the profit made on each shirt to the Rutledge Cancer Foundation based in Fort Worth, Texas. “The Rutledge Cancer Foundation works to ease the impact of cancer on the lives of teens and young adults, raise survival rates and find a cure for sarcomas and other solid tumor cancers.” (https://rutledgecancerfoundation.org/about/#mission).
